KUALA LUMPUR: KL City's dream run in the AFC Cup is still on as they stunned India's ATK Mohun Bagan 3-1 in the inter-zonal semi-final at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium in Kolkata today.
Captain Paulo Josue gave the City Boys the lead in the 59th minute before Fardin Ali Molla struck the equaliser in the 90th minute.
However, KL scored two goals in the second and fifth minutes of stoppage time through Fakrul Aiman Sidid and Romel Morales to claim victory.
The reigning Malaysia Cup champions will take on Sogdiana Jizzakh of Uzbekistan in the inter-zonal final at the Sogdiana Stadium on Oct 5.
The winner will play Al-Seeb of Oman or Al-Riffa of Bahrain for the title on Oct 22.
