Cools sees quality in Harimau

KUALA LUMPUR: After his heroics on Thursday, Dion Cools returned to full training with the national training today at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya.

The 27-year-old Belgian-Malaysian will leave with the national team for Taiwan tomorrow for their second World Cup qualifier in Group D.

World No. 137 Malaysia will meet world No. 152 Taiwan on Tuesday.

Though Cools, who scored two goals in Malaysia's unexpected 4-3 win over Kyrgyzstan in their group opener on Thursday, was the Man of the Match, the humble centreback wants to share the accolades with all his teammates.

"I think we have enough quality in this team to qualify for the next round," said Cools.

"All our players, from the youngsters to the seniors, have quality. I believe we can do something, so there's no need to think about having more of 'me' (on the squad).

"We're focusing on the next game on Tuesday, another three points we need to win," said Cools.

Since 2000, Malaysia had played Taiwan five times and only won twice (at home) and suffered three losses away.
