JDT donate RM2.9 million to Palestine Humanitarian cause and outreach programmes

KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) will donate RM2.9 million from ticket proceeds and their Super League prize money to the Palestine Humanitarian cause and the club's foundation outreach programme.

In a statement by the club today, slightly over RM1 million, from six home matches at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium since November, will be channeled to humanitarian efforts in Palestine.

"The Super League prize money of RM1.9 million will be given to JDT foundation for various outreach programmes.

"JDT have donated all prize monies to charitable causes since the club was established in 2013."

JDT achieved the treble for the second straight season and earned RM2.4 million this year.

Since their rebranding in 2013, JDT are said to have won over RM12 million in prize monies, including US$350,000 (RM1.7 million) from their 2015 AFC Cup triumph.
