Harimau Malaya keeper captures the hearts of Korean girls

KUALA LUMPUR: Harimau Malaya's No.1 goalkeeper Syihan Hazmi has garnered praise from various quarters, not just for his agility but also for his looks, following his performance in the final Group E match of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.

Syihan excelled in the match, consistently thwarting the South Korean attacks, to the point where they struggled to add to their score.

This indirectly denied the team, ranked 23rd in the world, the opportunity to add more goals against Malaysia, ultimately settling for a 3-3 draw.

However, it is not only his prowess on the pitch that has piqued the interest of Korean netizens, but many laud praised his appearance.

On social media, "K-pop" girls are captivated by Syihan's looks, describing him as cute and handsome.

"I saw a tweet saying the Malaysian goalkeeper is cute. After the match, my mother also agreed that the Malaysian goalkeeper is cute. The Malaysian goalkeeper is good and handsome," is what most South Korean girls said on social media.

For the record, Harimau Malaya ended their campaign with a sensational 3-3 draw against the Asian football giant at the Al Janoub Stadium in Doha.

Despite the draw, Malaysia failed to advance to the Round of 16 after losing in the first two Group E matches, 0-4 to Jordan and 0-1 to Bahrain, ultimately finishing in last place with just one point.
