KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor have signed Finnish-Malaysian midfielder Nooa Laine on a season-long loan deal for the new M-League season.
The 22-year-old, a member of the national Under-23 team, recorded 64 appearances and scored four goals over three seasons for SJK Seinajoki, a Division One club in Finland.
Nooa also has one senior cap with Harimau Malaya, which he achieved against Turkmenistan on March 23, 2023.
Nooa, who courted the attention of several M-League sides, said he picked the Red Giants because of the club's direction.
"Selangor contacted me a long time ago to explain the role and importance of my services to the team. I have also heard positive things about the club from my teammates in the Malaysian national squad.
"I am happy to be part of the club. I want to achieve success together with Selangor," said Nooa in a statement.
