Pre-season VAR testing in three zones

KUALA LUMPUR: The video assistant referee (VAR) system will be tested by the Malaysian Football League two weeks before the 2024-2025 M-League season kicks off on May 10.

VAR will be used in 10 pre-season games in three zones - North, East Coast and Central - before it is used for the first time in the M-League.

In the north, Kedah will host Penang at the Darulaman Stadium on April 23, Perak will host Kedah at the Perak Stadium on April 27 and Penang will play Perak at the City Stadium on May 4.

The East zone will see Kelantan United host Sri Pahang at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium on April 24, Sri Pahang play Terengganu at Darulmakmur Stadium on April 28 and Terengganu will meet Kelantan United at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium on May 3.

The Central zone will see KL City play Negri Sembilan at KLFA Stadium on April 22, Kuching play KL City at UiTM Stadium on April 26 before meeting Police at Selayang Stadium on April 29.

The VAR testing for the Central zone will conclude with a match between Negri Sembilan and Police at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi on May 5.
