Red Giants flex their muscles for new season

KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor's preparations for the new M-League season got off to a bright start with a resounding 4-0 win against Brunei's DPMM in the Selangor Asia Challenge (SAC) at MBPJ Stadium last night.

The Red Giants, coached by Nidzam Jamil, scored through Noor Al-Rawabdeh (15th and 57th minutes and new signing Alvin Fortes of Cape Verde (30th and 68th).

Fans have a glimpse of the Selangor team for the 2024-2025 season which also has Irish coach Conor Nestor as assistant to Nidzam. They also saw the upgrades to the MBPJ Stadium.

Nidzam said: "Our players demonstrated the right mentality, but there are areas that require refinement, such as our defensive positioning and ball recovery."

Singapore's Balestier Khalsa and Laos' Young Elephants are the other teams competing in the SAC.
