Faisal Halim undergoes second surgery after acid attack

KUALA LUMPUR: National footballer Faisal Halim is reported to be in stable condition after undergoing his second surgery at a private hospital in Shah Alam yesterday evening.

This was stated by Selangor Football Association deputy president, Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar today.

Shahril said Faisal underwent a three-hour surgery after he was attacked with acid last Sunday by unknown assailants at a shopping centre in Damansara.

"Faisal's condition is stable, and I will visit him today to check on his latest status," said Shahril.

Faisal, who is a key Selangor player, suffered fourth-degree burns from the shocking acid attack. Doctors confirmed that Faisal was injured on his face, neck, arms and body.
