Terengganu top Super League table

KUALA LUMPUR: Perak secured their first three points of the season by defeating Kedah 2-0 while Terengganu climbed to the top of the Super League table with a decisive 3-0 victory over Kelantan Darul Naim on Friday.

At the Darul Aman Stadium, Perak earned their first win in their third game, courtesy of a brace from Lee Tae Min. The South Korean found the back of the net in the 16th and 77th minutes.

For Kedah, it was their second consecutive loss following last week's 1-0 defeat to Selangor in Kelana Jaya.

At the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, a dominant Terengganu got their second win in three matches.

The Golden Deers were penalised in the first half when a defender tugged Terengganu captain Safawi Rasid's shirt inside the box. Ismaheel Akinade converted the spot kick in the 36th minute to put the Turtles in the lead.

Just before the halftime whistle, Nurillo Tuskhtasinov doubled Terengganu's advantage with a goal.

And two minutes into the second half, Manuel Ott extended Terengganu's lead.

With no response from Kelantan Darul Naim, Terengganu secured three points, bringing their total to seven and placing them on top of the table.
