KUALA LUMPUR: Natasha Andrea Oon has earned a ticket to the junior event of the LPGA’s first Major, the ANA Inspiration championship at Mission Hills Country Club on March 29-April 1.
The 16-year-old will have two opportunities to earn her Major debut — the Ana Junior Inspiration and Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship on Feb 21-24 in Singapore.
“She has been training very hard in the US, from dawn to dusk and working on her driver distance control as well as short game,” said Natasha’s father, Sam Oon.
“This tournament will give her good exposure and experience to play in a Major junior tournament alongside a highly ranked field.”
Natasha will compete in the ANA Junior Inspiration on March 22-25, where the winner will get to compete in the senior event.
