KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Gavin Green pocketed €39,563 (RM190,000) after finishing joint 12th at the European Masters in Switzerland on Sunday.
Gavin, who is playing his maiden full season on the European Tour, shot a two-over par 72 on the final day for an overall seven-under par 273.
The 24-year-old finished joint 12th with England’s Lee Westwood, Sweden’s Soren Kjelsen and South Korea’s Wang Jeung-hun. Matthew Fitzpatrick of England won the tournament with a four-day 17-under par 263.
The Malaysian earned 46,288 points from his feat to move up to 76th position on the Tour’s Race to Dubai rankings.
The 2017 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion will head to the Netherlands for the KLM Open on Sept 13-16.
