KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia A fought bravely before going down 3-2 to India's Odisha in the boys' Mirnawan Cup at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Stadium here today.
The Malaysian team bounced back twice to draw level but still lost the match.
Their next match is against Malaysia B who lost 11-1 to South Africa.
And on Thursday, Malaysia A must beat South Africa to play in the final.
"My boys played well against Odisha. However, we made mistakes in defending penalty corners.
"We need to win comfortably against Malaysia B and then South Africa to realise the dream of playing it the final," said Malaysia A coach Sufian Zainal.
