KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia whitewashed Brunei 70-28 in the netball semi-finals at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara this morning.
It was a repeat semi-finals of the 2015 Singapore Games, and back then Malaysia had hammered Brunei 79-23.
The other semi-finals later today between Singapore and Thailand is also a repeat of Singapore Games. And the Lion City won 59-29 then.
Only five countries are competing in the Netball event, and Philippines are the reluctant entry to make up the numbers.
Sunday may see a repeat of Sea Games 2015 final between Malaysia and Singapore.
In the last Games, Malaysia were pipped to the gold 46-43 by the host Singapore.
