Nur Syaza Afiqah was the toast of KL when she scored in the 53rd minute.
In the bronze play-off match, Penang overcame Melaka 2-1.
Nur Aisyah Nasir (18th minute) and Siti Nur Arfah (51st) scored for Penang while Nuraslinda Said (37th) replied for Malacca.
In the men's third-fourth placing match, early favourites Terengganu slumped to a new low when they lost 3-0 to Malacca.
Firdaus Omar scored a brace in the 34th and 56th minutes, while Faid Farhadh Shah delivered the other goal in the 46th minute.
