HomeBois hope to comeback stronger after premature MLBB world meet exit

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian champions Homebois are not disheartened by their subdued performance at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M5 World Championship.

They believe the early exit will serve as a valuable lesson for their future.

HomeBois began their campaign by defeating Indonesia's Geek Fam 2-0 in their Group D opener in Manila.

However, subsequent losses to Russia's DeusVult (2-1) and United States' TheOhioBrothers (2-1) led to their early departure from the championship.

Homebois coach Khairul Azman Sharif conceded his team succumbed to pressure in Manila.

He also highlighted the need for better drafting, gameplay, and increased aggression to secure victories.

"We are going to learn from our mistakes here.

"We need to improve drafting, gameplay, and maybe more aggression. We need to be able to hold on and close the games in the end," said Khairul Azman, also known as Pabz.

Meanwhile, Homebois' seasoned hand Zul Hisham Mohd Noor said he may reconsider retiring from the sport.

"I still need to consider my earlier decision... I need to think properly. For me, I think I'm done, but I need to see if there are reasons for me to change my mind," said Zul Hisham, nicknamed Xorn.

The elimination of HomeBois from M5 marks the absence of any Malaysian team in the knockout stage for the first time in an M-Series.

On Wednesday, Malaysia's SMG exited the tournament with a win and two defeats in Group B.
