End of Zhi Xuan's gallant run in Hong Kong

KUALA LUMPUR: It was the end of the road for Goh Zhi Xuan in the Hong Kong Squash Challenge Cup on Thursday.

The 18-year-old from Melaka, who upset Malta's sixth seed Colette Sultana in the second round, put up a strong challenge against fourth seed Heo Min-gyeong of South Korea before going down 11-9, 8-11, 6-11, 5-11 in the quarter-finals.

World No. 160 and joint ninth seed Zhi Xuan said: "Overall, I'm satisfied with my performance for reaching the quarter-finals. And I believe that my world ranking will improve after upsetting Sultana and reaching the quarter-finals.''
