The second seed was upset by fifth seed Rama El Naggar of Egypt 7-11, 11-7, 4-11, 7-11 in the semi-finals of girls' Under-15 category.
With Harleein's defeat, Malaysia's challenge in the BJO is all over.
Rama will face top seed and compatriot Malika El Karasky in the final tomorrow.
Malika defeated joint fifth seed and teammate Zeina Abdelaal 11-5, 11-6, 11-9.
