Eain Yow, Sivasangari reach last eight in Cleveland

KUALA LUMPUR: Ng Eain Yow entered the quarter-finals of the Squash In The Land Open after beating India's Velavan Senthikumar 11-6, 1-9, 11-2 in Cleveland, the United States, yesterday.

The top seeded and world No. 19 Malaysian won the second round match in 39 minutes, and will face Mexico's sixth seed Leonel Cardenas next.

World No. 16 S. Sivasangari also reached the last eight by defeating Egypt's Kenzy Ayman 11-5, 11-5, 11-6. The fourth seeded Malaysian will meet England's Alicia Mead next,

Malaysia's Ainaa Amani, who defeated Canada's Danielle Ray 11-8, 11-7, 11-5 in the first round, went down to top seed Georgina Kennedy of England 2-11, 2-11, 2-11

National No. 2 Addeen Idrakie lost in the first round to Englishman Perry Malik 2-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 9-11.
