JAKARTA: Indonesia registerered 2,473 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing its tally of infections to 121,226.
According to the Indonesian government's Covid-19 website, 80,200 patients are still being monitored for the viral infection.
Meanwhile, 72 more fatalities were recorded, raising the death toll in the republic to 5,593, Bernama reported.
Jakarta province has the highest number cases at 24,601, followed by East Java at 24,493.
East Java province has recorded the highest number of deaths at 1,834, followed by Jakarta (913), Central Java (709) and South Sulawesi (334).
