Three Msian students in UK detained over Manchester blast probe

PUTRAJAYA: The Foreign Affairs Ministry has received reports of three Malaysian students being detained by the Greater Manchester Police.

“It is believed that the students were brought to the Longsight Police Station in Manchester for questioning and all three were released at 9pm (local time),” the statement said.

As such, the ministry is advising all Malaysians living in Manchester to report to the High Commission of Malaysia in London.

They can do so at the High Commission of Malaysia in London at 52 Bedford Row, London (Contact number: +4402072424308).

“The ministry wishes to advise the public to remain vigilant and follow the instructions of the local authorities,” it said.

On May 22, 22 people, including children, were killed and over 50 were injured in a suicide attack carried out by a man after an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Arena.
