Unknown duo pretends to be famous with fake paparazzi shots; now they're truly famous

AN ITALIAN couple who fakes their own paparazzi shots on Instagram say they're so good at it, they're becoming famous for pretending to be famous.

Sara Morsillo, 21, and Samuel Batista, 22, who go only by the moniker 'Samsara' and boast over 25,000 Instagram followers, share pictures from their travels around the globe as if they were A-list superstars – except nobody has a clue who they are.

The couple, originally from Milan but studying in Rome, are both fashion students and have been snapped on their travels in Spain, Russia and Paris.

Often seen chowing down on food as they walk, the pair has been spotted snacking on giant multi-coloured lollipops and colourful donuts.

Samsara has revealed that although their account started off as a joke, their follower numbers have exploded in recent months – and they would love to be full-time paparazzi stars.

They told the Daily Mail: “@zoomthash*t started as a play and then at some point our followers grew more and more, it was amazing!

“On the page we put all our personal inclinations: we love fashion, food and music and movies.

“We manage everything ourselves: we are stylists, make-up artists, photographers and our own managers.”

The couple, who both study fashion at La Sapienza University in Rome, say their account works so well because they do everything together.

They said: “We do everything together in complete symbiosis, everything works because we complete each other and we share the tasks.”

As for their style, the pair describes it as “totally free” and go on to explain that their long-term goal is to continue “spreading precious energy” with their account.

“Our style is a street-style, comfy, oversize, not gendered, fast and cheap but cool... it's totally free.

“Without a doubt our goal for the future is to be able to dedicate all our time to this passion”. – Daily Mail
