9 more Covid-19 cases in Singapore; tally jumps to 67

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported a jump in its Covid-19 coronavirus tally after nine more people tested positive for the infection, bringing the total to 67.

Of the new cases, six are linked to an infection cluster at the Grace Assembly of God church; while another is a family member of two cases related to DBS Asia Central at Marina Bay Financial Centre.

An eighth case is a 61-year-old healthcare worker at a private hospital here who is now warded at an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

According to the republic’s Ministry of Health (MOH) all are Singaporeans with no recent travel history to China, Bernama reported.

The MOH added that of the 50 cases still in hospital, six are in critical condition.
