Man stabs wife after she refused to give him money to buy fried chicken

NEW DELHI: A tailor allegedly killed his wife, after she refused to give him money to buy fried chicken in the Indian city of Ghaziabad, New Delhi.

The man had allegedly stabbed the 46 year-old Noor Bano in the neck with a pair of scissors, reported NDTV news site yesterday.

"The suspect, Shahid Hussain has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife, Noor Bano, 46," said a police officer handling the case, Siddharth Gautam.

Siddharth said the couple had an argument last Friday night when Noor Bano allegedly refused to give Shahid money to buy fried chicken at the market.

Somehow, the suspect still went out and bought the fried chicken a few minutes later, although the argument with his wife had not been settled.

The fight continued after he bought the chicken and led to him stabbing her in front of their children.

"She was rushed to a hospital where she died from her injuries" .

Siddharth said the suspect was then arrested a few hours after his wife's death. -AGENCY
