KUALA LUMPUR: After waiting for a decade, singer Azmi Saat and wife Nazirah Muhammad welcome a baby boy today.
The 34-year-old vocalist of the group Caliph Buskers who shared the wonderful news and a photo of their newborn on Instagram said: "Praise be to God, my first child was born at 9.09 this morning."
The baby was delivered via Caesarean section on the date chosen by Azmi, which is also his birthday.
"The procedure went well. When I heard the baby's voice for the first time, there's this indescribable feeling and emotions.
"I'm very grateful for this wonderful gift from God. I hope to be a good father," wrote Azmi who also thanked his fans for their well-wishes.
Azmi and Nazirah, who are both visually-impaired, married in 2011.
