#Showbiz: Fans excited over Billie Eilish sightings in KL

KUALA LUMPUR: Multiple Grammy winner Billie Eilish was at Sungei Wang Plaza here yesterday.

A TikTok entry from the mall's account showed the 20-year-old singer-songwriter with her brother Finneas hanging out at the location which included the go-kart section.

The electropop star also created quite a stir during her arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Tuesday after fans who caught sight of her started sharing their pictures on Twitter.

Many fans took to social media to express their excitement of seeing her and in catching her upcoming show.

Eilish, who has accumulated more than 73 billion streams globally in the past four years, will be performing in her first Malaysian concert at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tonight.

She even shared several pictures of herself in Manila, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur in recent posts on her Instagram account.

Harian Metro reported that fans had already been queuing up as early as 10am this morning to ensure a good spot for the upcoming Happier Than Ever The World Tour 2022 concert that's scheduled to take place at 8.30pm.

Eilish is set to fly off to Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo after this to continue with the Asian leg of her world tour that comes off the back of her No.1, critically-acclaimed sophomore studio album, Happier Than Ever, released via Universal Music.

Her previous tour dates in North America, the UK and Europe were record sold out affairs back in May of 2021.

Since the release of her debut single Ocean Eyes in 2015, the Los Angeles native continues to garner success after success with her genre-defying sound.

Her 2019 breakout album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 in the US, as well as 17 other countries globally and was the most streamed album of that year.

Both albums were written, produced and recorded entirely by Eilish and Finneas.
