Illegally-parked vehicles in a narrow lane between housing areas are obstructing traffic in Jalan Cecawi 6/22 in Kota Damansara, Selangor.
A resident, who wants to be identified only as Emmet, told Actionline that car owners would leave their vehicles in the lane for hours, preventing other drivers from passing.
“The lane is a shortcut for us to get to the other side of the road and these drivers leave their cars there for hours.
“It causes traffic congestion in the area.
“I urge the local authority to take action.”

A Petaling Jaya City Council spokesman said it was against the rules to park vehicles that prevented the smooth flow of traffic.
The spokesman said they were taking the matter seriously and would take action.
“A team from the council will tow vehicles from the lane and issue warning letters to the owners.
“It is against the rules to park a vehicle in a non-designated parking area. The lane is for drivers to get to the other side of the main road.”
