Body in parked car possible suicide

PETALING JAYA: The dead body found inside a parked car at the Kota Damansara car boot sale yesterday is believed to have resulted from suicide.

This is following the discovery of burnt charcoal inside the car.

Deputy district police chief Superintendent M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said the local man, in his 40s, is believed to have been dead for over five days.

"The Kota Damansara Police Station received a report regarding the death of a local man at 12.04pm.

"Preliminary investigations found that the victim was found unconscious in a Perodua Bezza car," he said in a statement today.

He said that thus far the investigation has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR).

The shocking incident came to light when an attendee participating in a car boot sale in Damansara shared the distressing discovery on X (formerly Twitter).

The attention-grabbing moment occurred when a visitor noticed the bloated figure inside the vehicle.

Inside the car, on the dashboard, a note accompanied by a copy of the deceased's identification card was discovered.

The poignant message read: "Please call my brother or my sister."
