'Ghost' taxis hog KL car park

ABANDONED taxis have taken over a car park in the busy Chow Kit area.

Yeap Cheng Hoe, who works in the area, said the taxis had been left there for more than two years.

“Officegoers have no choice but to park illegally. Some had their cars clamped and fined.”

Yeap said the taxis were owned by a small taxi company which started operations two years ago.

“The company went bankrupt and left the taxis there.”

He claimed that the firm had ignored summonses issued by City Hall.

ACTIONLINE:

“To ensure that legal action can be taken against the taxi firm, we will tow the cars away by Wednesday.”
