Brahim's meals onboard KTM and cafes at train stations

KUALA LUMPUR: Brahim’s Holdings Bhd is now catering food and beverages onboard Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd's (KTMB) electric train services (ETS) rail cafes at train stations and terminals.

In its filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Brahim said its subsidiary Brahim’s SATS Food Services Sdn Bhd (BSFS) had signed a catering services agreement with KTMB for the provision of total food and beverages solutions.

Under the agreement, Brahim's will provide manpower for its onboard catering services, as well as operate rail cafes, develop IT software to integrate with KTMB's software for the purpose of capturing sales of pre-booked meals.

Brahim's will also renovate the new catering kitchen hub at Butterworth and Kuala Lumpur train stations.

The agreement is effective May 1, 2017 and will continue for five years until April 30, 2022 with an option to extend or renew for another five years.

“The agreement is expected not to have any material effect on the earnings and net assets per share of the Brahim’s Group for the year ending December 2018, but is expected to contribute positively to its future earnings,” the group said.

Shares of Brahim’s closed 0.5 sen higher at 44.5 sen today.
