KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has announced the resignation of its managing director and group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, effective June 6, 2018.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, TM also announced the appointment of Datuk Bazlan Osman as the acting group CEO. Bazlan was TM’s deputy group CEO.

“The entire board, management and TM employees would like to thank Datuk Seri Shazalli for his leadership and contribution to the group.

“We would like to take this opportunity to wish him all the best for his future endeavours. The leadership bench under the Acting Group CEO, Datuk Bazlan will continue the strategic and business imperatives for TM,” TM chairman Tan Sri Sulaiman Mahbob said.

In an internal message to TM staff, Shazalli said when he first joined the group last year, it was to bring new zest to the company and to share his expertise in branding, sales and marketing.

“Rest assured TM will and must prevail. I pass the baton to Datuk Bazlan as your interim group CEO and the existing management line-up that will continue the strategic imperatives and this critical execution phase for TM.

“I take my leave in full confidence that together with all Warga Keluarga TM, our beloved institution is in good hands,” Shazalli said.
