Khazanah executive director Hisham Hamdan now UDA chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development has today announced the appointment of Khazanah Nasional Bhd executive director (investment) Datuk Hisham Hamdan as UDA Holdings Bhd new chairman effective February 28.

The ministry also announced the appointment of three new members to UDA Holdings' board of directors.

They are Datuk Mohd Rafee Mohamed, Datuk Rosli Dahlan and Mohamad Subki Ahmad.

These appointments have also begun on February 28.

In a statement, the ministry said that it was confident of the new appointments on the back of the wide range of experience the candidates possess especially in the fields of real estate development, law, architecture and quantity surveying.

"Datuk Mohd Rafee is a quantity surveyor registered with the Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia, a fellow to The Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and a member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

"Whereas Datuk Rosli is a defence lawyer and solicitor for the Malayan High Court and a shariah lawyer for the Federal Territories Shariah Court.”

Mohamad Subki, meanwhile, has a wide range of experience in multiple architectural development.

He is involved with the Board of Architects Malaysia, the Malaysian Institute of Architects and the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers.
