KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd seek those who are able to demonstrate integrity, diligence and a sense of responsibility, apart from the required knowledge and skills, when comes to recruiting talents.

"Maybank is in the business of lending money. We take very good care of our clients' money.

"So, it's a given that in the search for talents, we look for people who consistently uphold integrity, is hardworking and accountable," said Maybank Group chief human capital officer Nora Abd Manaf.

"We are in total agreement with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's advice that Malaysians, in the pursuit of progress and success, must be guided with the right moral value compass," she told reporters after hosting the Maybank GO Ahead Challenge (MGAC) 2109 here yesterday.

Dr Mahathir had, on several public events, emphasised knowledge will become futile and even destructive, if it is not accompanied by the right values. An educated person is not just one who is intelligent but one who differentiates right from wrong.

Themed #ChallengeOfChoice, the MGAC 2019 will test those who can think outside the box while skilfully navigating complexities. There will be scenario cases infused with gamified elements from the get-go.

Nora said Maybank will unveil the one-of-a-kind experiential prizes at the Global Finals scheduled from July 29th to August 8th, 2019.
