MNRB bags fintech insurance tech award

KUALA LUMPUR: MNRB Holdings Bhd (MNRB) has bagged the Insurtech–Financial Technology award category at the recent Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2022 through its sub-brand, GO by Takaful Ikhlas.

MNRB said this win is a testimony to the company's quest to build a digital ecosystem to connect their takaful services in Malaysia.

Senior vice president and group chief strategy officer Rizal Mohd Zin said MNRB recognises that technologies will continue to power innovation.

Rizal said this award is an inspiration for MNRB to continue to develop better takaful experiences for agents, partners, and customers in Malaysia.

"The GO digital ecosystem will continue to improve, and we hope this will provide a strong foundation for our future, advanced services," he said in a statement.

GO by Takaful Ikhlas was built as a sub-brand to serve agents, partners, and customers.

It has five functions, including GO Partner to enable digital agents, GO Serve for online customer/agent services, GO Direct to select and purchase takaful certificates online, GO Connect, an open API platform for partner integration, and GO Financial, a bancatakaful sales and support platform.

According to Rizal, MNRB first started by looking at how the company could enable innovation and be future-ready within its group and decided that opening a sub-brand to champion the ecosystem was a way to move forward.

As MNRB was coming up with the ideas behind this, Rizal said the company also needed a way to consolidate its existing offerings and offer new ones in a completely digital manner.

"Part of having a digital ecosystem is that our services are always available 24/7.

"Moreover, we also strive to have a service that improves over time, with new features and capabilities that also manage the growing complexities well for a good customer experience.

"By having an intuitive platform with a deep feature set and reliable service, this provides a strong customer-focused digital platform that is tuned to their needs", he added.
