Nestle Professional partners Uncle Bob to launch Nestlé's Harvest Gourmet plant-based product range

KUALA LUMPUR: Nestle Professional has kicked off its latest collaboration with Uncle Bob, which will see the launch of Uncle Bob's first meat-free menu featuring Nestlé's Harvest Gourmet plant-based product range.

The menu will be available across 89 Uncle Bob outlets in Sabah and feature Harvest Gourmet's Plant-Based Schnitzel and its recently launched Plant-Based Nuggets.

Nestle Professional business executive officer Yit Wonn Lai said the Harvest Gourmet plant-based range enables the company to meet the needs of increasingly health-conscious consumers looking to incorporate plant-based alternatives into their diets.

"As awareness and consumption of plant-based foods in Malaysia continue to grow, we look forward to more collaborations with our food and beverage (F&B) partners.

"In line with this, we are excited to partner with Uncle Bob's, a rapidly growing nationwide chain that believes in driving plant-based consumption.

"Uncle Bob will be the first F&B operator serving the Harvest Gourmet plant-based menu in Sabah, and we are looking forward to driving this collaboration further and growing the plant-based segment in Malaysia together," said Yit in a statement.

Uncle Bob's first plant-based menu will feature items such as plant-based fried chicken, plant-based oblong burger, plant-based crispy golden nuggets and plant-based KBOB golden nuggets.

The menu is available both ala-carte and as a set meal, including Milo or Sjora, with prices ranging from RM9.90 to RM11.90.

"Meat-free solutions have been well accepted in many parts of the world.

"Today, we no longer have to travel to other countries to taste plant-based food because we can now have it here in Sabah at Uncle Bob.

"Meat-free, plant-based solutions and ingredients are revolutionary in the F&B industry in Borneo. Uncle Bob is proud to be the pioneering brand to introduce it here," said Uncle Bob director Kelvin Ng.
