KL High Court allows Mycron Steel to challenge gov decision to lift anti-dumping duty on certain iron and steel

KUALA LUMPUR: Mycron Steel Bhd today said the Kuala Lumpur High Court has allowed its challenge of the government's decision to lift anti-dumping duty on import of cold rolled coil of iron and non-alloyed steel from specific exporters originating from South Korea and Vietnam.

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, Mycron Steel unit Mycron Steel CRC Sdn Bhd's application for leave to commence judicial review and for a stay of proceedings against the decision made by the Minister of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), MITI, The Finance Minister & the government of Malaysia to terminate the anti-dumping duty, was granted by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Nov 29, 2023.

The application was made on July 25, 2023.

This litigation matter is not expected to have any immediate material financial or operational impact on the group.
