KUALA LUMPUR: A group of minority shareholders have come together to requisition an extraordinary general meeting to remove all six members of Kumpulan Jetson Bhd's board of directors.
They are looking to remove among others the non-executive deputy chairman Tunku Datuk Nooruddin Tunku Shahabuddin, and executive director Edward Ng Kah Jiun.
Both were appointed on Oct 6, 2023.
Interestingly, this is the second time former executive director Tee Chee Beng is looking to remove the company's directors.
In 2010, she was part of a group of shareholders looking to remove, Chow Chee Kin, a board member at the time.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, a group of ten shareholders said it is looking to remove the current directors and replace them with Tee Chee Beng, Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh, Chuan Sieh Yee, Joe Tee Chang Chee Lup, Boey Sook Yen and Melvin Ong Kok Ho.
In late November, the chairman of the board of Kumpulan Jetson and two other members of the board resigned, citing pursuit of personal interests.
