Edaran Tan Chong Sdn Bhd (ETCM) has announced that the fifth-generation all-new Nissan Serena S-Hybrid is now open for booking and is expected to be launched next month.
The all-new Nissan Serena S-Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre Twin Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control engine, paired with the XTRONIC CVT with adaptive shift control. It generates 148hp at 6,000rpm with a torque of 200Nm at 4,400rpm.
It adopts the new dual arm tensioner that produces a lower tension on the arm belt to reduce the power lost and increase its fuel efficiency.
The S-Hybrid powertrain equipped in the Serena is a compact hybrid system. It mounts an upgraded version of the ECO motor that controls the idling stop system and provides additional torque assist in start-up acceleration.
It also acts as an alternator to facilitate energy recuperation during deceleration and braking.
The new Serena features Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, which includes the intelligent around-view monitor that provides a 360-degree bird’s eye view of the vehicle, intelligent moving object detection that detects moving objects around the vehicle, hands-free dual power sliding doors that operate with a simple quick kick below the door and seven-seater captain seats with seven individual USB ports to charge electronic devices.
Safety features include six SRS airbags, vehicle dynamic control, traction control system, anti-lock braking system, brake assist, electronic brake force distribution, hill start assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points.
The all-new Nissan Serena S-Hybrid is now available for viewing in selected shopping malls.
At these island displays and roadshows, the public can also download a special augmented reality application (available on Android and IOS) to preview the vehicle in real-time, including a digital tour of the all-new Nissan Serena S-Hybrid.
