Kawasaki launches new Genuine Oil products

KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the recent Sepang MotoGP round last week, Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) launched an additional line of Kawasaki Genuine Oils with a higher grade.

The two new grades of Genuine Oil were Torq R7 and Torq R9 with a 100 percent Group IV PAO (Polyalphaolefin) base oil content.

PAO is the most common major synthetic base oil used in automotive lubricants and its chemical properties are designed to withstand high temperatures and stress without sacrificing performance.

Torq R7 is an SAE 10W40 grade engine oil with an API SN MA2 rating while the Torq R9 is an SAE 10W50 grade also with an API SN MA2 rating.

Both oils are targeted at customers who own higher performance Kawasaki motorcycles and also those who clock high mileages.

The 100 percent PAO content ensures the viscosity index is relatively high and translates into better engine performance due to low friction levels and low thermal breakdown. Oxidation is also kept low to offer maximum engine protection to high performance engines under extreme stress.

“These two products are of superior quality and the specially blended formulation provides maximum engine performance and protection”, said Datuk Jeffrey Lim, Managing Director of KMSB, who stood in for absent Executive Chairman, Ahmad Faez Yahaya.

Also present at the launch were executives of Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd., Idemitsu Lube Asia Pacific and Idemitsu Lube (Malaysia), the oil partners of Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia).

The introduction of the two new oils offers Kawasaki owners a premium grade choice in the lineup of Kawasaki Genuine Oils product line.

Torq R7 will retail for RM76.00 per litre while Torq R9 is RM78.00 per litre.

Expect more new products from Kawasaki Motors (Malaysia) as they keep up with customers’ expectations and demands.
