Bukit Bintang 'strikes a pose' as NST-Nikon Photowalk contest launched

KUALA LUMPUR: Around 50 photo enthusiasts roamed the streets of Bukit Bintang here, capturing scenes of the popular shopping district, as part of the NST-Nikon Photowalk contest today.

A collaboration between the New Straits Times and Nikon, which is the prize sponsor, the NST-Nikon Photowalk kicked off at 8am this morning.

It was organised to reflect the growing popularity of street photography among photo enthusiasts, and as a way to portray unique scenes of daily Malaysian life.

Bukit Bintang, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, was selected, as it is a hotspot for tourists and locals alike.

Participants must upload a maximum of three photos to their social media accounts, with the hashtag #NSTNikonPhotowalk to submit their shots.

Nikon is giving away a brand-new compact camera as a first prize, binoculars as the second prize, and a special 100-year gift as the third prize.

All participants will also receive a special anniversary t-shirt from Nikon.
