#Showbiz: Bintang RTM participants injured in car crash

KUALA LUMPUR: Two contestants of Bintang RTM 2024, Muhammad Shahrezza, 21, and Mohd Azumi Shazani, 25, were reported to be stable after being involved in a car accident in Taman Midah, Cheras, here, on Dec 28.

According to a recent Harian Metro report, the singing competition's producer Yang Faziatun Zainal Abedin said that the incident took place at about 7.35am.

"Shahrezza is currently receiving treatment in Hospital Canselor Tunku Muhriz Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Cheras, while Azumi is in Hospital Kuala Lumpur after experiencing serious neck injuries

"However, both are reported to be in stable condition," she said.

Yang added that the show's management is now waiting for the health report of the two contestants to be issued in order to determine whether they will be able to participate in the first week concert of Bintang RTM 2024 scheduled to take place on Jan 13.

"We hope that they are alright and will be allowed to participate in the upcoming competition.
