KUALA LUMPUR: Shopee Malaysia today celebrates the #ShopeeDeliversLove campaign, in conjunction with Valentine's Day, by giving the ShopeeFood riders and Shopee delivery partners a gift box containing necessities such as a power bank, phone holder, sweets, raincoat, and waist bag for when they're on the road.
As Shopee's ongoing effort of #ShopeeSapotLokal, the gift box items were sourced from local suppliers.
ShopeeFood Malaysia's head of business development, Wong Chee Mun said the riders play a crucial role in today's economic environment and they've helped in connecting business and users by delivering their foods and goods.
"Despite the rain and heavy traffic, the riders still give their best to our users. We hope with #ShopeeDeliversLove, we can show our riders and delivery partners how much they valued and cared for," he said.
The public also nominated their best rider and delivery stories on social media.
"It was drizzling at that time and we were worried that he would be stuck in the rain. However, Zuhair did not only deliver our food order on time, he even wished the family Happy Chinese New Year with a bright smile," quoted user Yong.
User Aisyah, meanwhile, conveyed her appreciation to rider Yazid for his commitment as "Abang Shopee Express" and wrote a self-made poem "Pen Merah, pen Biru, Abang Shopee we love you".

Shopee also has Valentine's Day deals for users this month such as RM6 off with a minimum spend of RM28 at Starbucks when you order on the ShopeeFood app, which is valid on February 14, 21, 28, 7, and March 14, 2022.
