Earlier this month, denim label Levi's unveiled its refurbished Suria KLCC store and it's so much more than just a store where your get your jeans.
Themed Indigo and laid out with a modern and contemporary feel -- bye bye industrial accents-- it's a one-stop denim shop to get your denim and get them done the way you want them done.
Central to the store is the Levi's Tailor Shop that can do (almost) anything to your Levi's. If you have lost weight, you can get your old Levi's resized for a reasonable fee. But I'm warning you, the queue is long.
I went for the launch on Jan 12 and was told I could only send my husband's pairs next month. Even that came with a "maybe" caveat.
You can get your jeans and trucker jackets personalised to what you like. A little bit of distressed effect here, a cute patch there... initials, perhaps?
Some items are easily done in under an hour. Others, that are not, might require some time, so you might need to leave your garments there.
The tailors are awesome too. Just speak to them about your vision and they will most likely be able to bring it to life.
There are also customisable t-shirts in black, white and grey, which work great as gifts.
NEW EXPERIENCE
Levi Strauss Malaysia and Singapore country manager Imran Butt says the store is designed to elevate customers' shopping experience.

The "doorway" features an exhibition in the form of a giant LED screen. With a massive browsing area to explore, customers can see new collections - from its iconic denim wear in sustainable fabrics, non-denim collections such as Red Tab Sweats and loungewear, to the premium lines of Vintage Collection as well as the meticulously-designed Made & Crafted collection.
Spacious fitting rooms, which covers an area of 32 sqm, offers real and true comfort. The area is bathed in natural light with a view of the KLCC park. With oversized mirrors on both ends on the fitting room area, you can walk, run, even jump to photograph yourself in your cool denim.
Each fitting room is fit check-ready, with light around the mirror for good lighting.
