Siti Saleha nervous about her big day

IN less than a month, actress Siti Saleha Baharom will be the beaming bride of government officer Ahmad Lutfi Azhar.

The pair, who will tie the knot on July 28, got engaged last November at a small ceremony held at the house of Siti Saleha’s parents in Klang, Selangor.

It was reported that Ahmad Lutfi popped the question while they were in Cancun, Mexico, to attend the wedding of an acquaintance.

They had been in a serious relationship for a year prior to that.

“I’m in the midst of preparing for the wedding and I often get goosebumps thinking of our big day, which is practically days away,” said the 27-year-old.

At the time of the interview, the actress, who is of Malay-British parentage, said she had been on her toes in preparing for the wedding since the beginning of Ramadan.

“I’m really thankful to have an efficient manager and a younger sibling who has been helping me organise the wedding.”

When asked what she felt about starting a new chapter of her life with her chosen man, Siti Saleha truthfully answered that she wouldn’t be able to imagine how it would feel as it was something she had yet to experience.

The actress, who is the younger sister of rock band Bunkface’s frontman Sam Baharom, also said she had taken some time off from acting, since the beginning of the fasting month, to focus on her wedding preparations.

“I don’t expect to have a perfect and grand wedding. It will be enough to have one without any hiccups.

“I also want it to be a fun affair,” said the bride-to-be, adding that the wedding would feature a rustic theme.

Siti Saleha has roped in her brother and his band to perform at her reception, which will give the event a casual and rock-and-roll vibe.

“By the time Ramadan began, I had already wrapped up shooting for my last project,” recounted Siti Saleha, who acted in telemovie Memori Pajeri Nenas, which aired on Astro First during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In the telemovie, Siti Saleha acted alongside Alif Satar and Tiz Zaqyah.

After the wedding, the bride and groom will fly off to Vienna, Austria, for their honeymoon.

Siti Saleha will then return to acting next month.

She said Ahmad Lutfi was supportive of her career and had not asked her to quit acting.
