KUALA LUMPUR: Pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza is saddened that certain individuals have been using her image to sell bedsheets on social media.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, Siti said that such individuals were scammers and they had been using her photos and videos to promote their products over the last few months.
"At first, I ignored such people. But soon my family members and close friends started calling me, they wanted to know whether I had really endorsed such products," said Siti, adding that she had also received dozens of online messages from fans.
"I do not own any bedsheet business. It is most regrettable that scammers have fooled my fans with fake advertisements.
"I call on these scammers to stop making use of my images to sell their products, and stop fooling the public, else the law will come down hard on you," said Siti, adding that she only promoted SimplySiti, BeauSiti, Afiya, Cuckoo and Farm Fresh products.
