KUALA LUMPUR: She’s won countless awards and titles in her career as a singer.
But Malaysia’s No. 1 singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza is about to embark on her biggest adventure so far: she’s about to become a mother.
Siti, 38, tonight confirmed that she is four-months pregnant.
“Alhamdulillah it is with great pleasure that I announce.. I am four months pregnant," said Siti at a ‘majlis kesyukuran’ (thanksgiving ceremony) at her house tonight.
The press conference was shown live on her Instagram accounts.
“No words can describe how I feel right now. God has given me the rezeki to have a baby at the age of 38, and in my 11th year of marriage," she added.
The news also comes hot on the heels of Siti's decision to take a break from the music scene four months ago.
"I hope that with this announcement, it confirms all the rumours and speculation that has been going around regarding my decision to take a break.
"For now I would have to slow down on my activities to focus on my baby," she said.
“My husband (Datuk Seri Khalid Mohd Jiwa) and I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers," she said.
