KUALA LUMPUR: Mak Cun actress and director Erma Fatima is preparing for a wedding, and she is in great spirits despite it not being hers.
Erma, 49, recently stated in her Instagram account that she was overjoyed to help her youngest sister, Betty Rahmad, have a "wedding to remember" in January next year.
"I've been working real hard of late to prepare for Betty's engagement ceremony, and come January, she's finally going to tie the knot. Only God knows how happy I am!" said Erma in a recent interview with Harian Metro.
While her sister's joyous occasion is a moment to cherish forever, Erma also revealed - with a sigh - that she hoped to "join" Betty someday.
"Sometimes, I wish this was a preparation for my own wedding. There's always a possibility, and helping Betty is, perhaps, a ‘rehearsal’ for things to come!" said Erma in jest.
Betty, 35, got engaged to Ardy Damis, 30, two weeks ago, in a brief ceremony attended by Erma, family members and actresses Nora Danish, Bella Daly, Sherry Ibrahim and Putri Najuwa.
Erma and director Bade Azmi divorced on Aug 17, after 26 years of marriage.
