(Showbiz) 1990s girl group Elite's plans for a comeback halted?

KUALA LUMPUR: When word got out that Elite is making a return to the music scene, fans of the popular 90s girl group were thrilled.

Unfortunately, the ladies experienced a bit of a hurdle in their journey to make that comeback happen.

One of its members Sasha Saidin said a music producer has come forward to propose three potential songs for the group, but according to the 41-year-old, the fee that the individual was charging was too pricey.

“The price per song was simply absurd. If possible, we would prefer to work with a producer who has worked with Elite previously.

“Of course we don’t want to make a comeback just for the sake of it, it has to be planned properly,” she said according to a recent news report by BH Online.

Sasha noted that it’s definitely not easy to materialise their dreams of a comeback, but the members would stand strong together to see it happen for the sake of their fans.

The all-girl outfit, formed in 1996, is also made up of Azza (Nor Azzarima Zawari), Linda (Azlinda Rafar) and Watie (Norwatie Sadali). Elite was popular with its hits like Tamparan Wanita and Manisnya Senyumanmu.
