Actors Farid Kamil and Aaron Aziz received Datukship

KUALA LUMPUR: Two actors – Farid Kamil and Aaron Aziz - were conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award which carries the title “Datuk” in conjunction with Sultan Ahmad of Pahang’s birthday celebration at Istana Bakar in Pekan, today.

The two of them were among 169 recipients of Pahang state awards and medals.

Farid, 36, also a producer, has starred in movies like J Revolusi and Tombiruo: Penunggu Rimba.

The model-turned-actor has been active in the entertainment industry since 2000.

Meanwhile Aaron, whose full name is Aaron Mustapha Aziz, 41, is a Singapore-born artiste, but had carved a name for himself in the local film industry since the early 2000s.

He rose to popularity through movies like Ombak Rindu and KL Gangster.
