(Showbiz) Yuna brings cheer to unfortunate Malaysian family in LA

KUALA LUMPUR: Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Yuna took time off her busy schedule to visit fellow Malaysians, who were down on their luck in sunny California.

In an Instagram p ost yesterday the 31-year-old artiste from Alor Star, Kedah wrote that she had visited a fan (@tasnimradzi) and her family at the California Hospital Medical Center.

Part of the post read: Thanks to her friend @amirahsaad who (direct messaged) DMed me about this Kedahan family from Alor Star, Malaysia they were on their 1st family vacation in the US when Tasnim's dad collapsed last week here in L.A.

She further wrote that the hospital was quick to treat him and had saved his life, with him now recovering.

Also in the posting was: PS: @uber @uber_my lets help them as they've been takin the @uber back & forth the hospital. Also, so much love for LA based Malaysian students who offered their home to this family!! Any help is good will post more soon about this. Praying for a speedy recovery to uncle Radzi, it was great meeting you all.

The experience had also touched Yuna and she further wrote: Made me miss my little family back home. Also what kind of friend DMs a singer through IG asking to help a friend? the crazy kind, the best kind! Tasnim&Amirah y'all are friends for LIFE. I've to say I'd do the same for my friends too. #itsaMalaysianthing.

The post had already garnered about 16,500 likes and over 100 comments that praised the Crush, Rescue and Lullabies singer and the girls involved.
