(Showbiz) Lee Joon did not attempt suicide, says manager

KUALA LUMPUR: The management agency of South Korean actor Lee Joon denies rumours that the star had attempted to end his life by slitting his wrist.

According to a news report by Allkpop, the manager from the agency, Yeo Jun-young, said that the news which had been reported by a South Korean publication was not true.

“His wrists look okay to me. I thank everyone for their concern and support for Lee Joon,” wrote Yeo on his Instagram.

He also uploaded a photo of the hands supposedly belonging to Lee, to show that there was no visible, unusual marks on the wrists that could suggest the artiste had tried to commit suicide.

Previously, Lee was reported to be suffering from panic attack and needed treatment to deal with a possible mental condition.

The 30-year-old award-winning actor, born Lee Chang-seon, is best known as a former member of the K-pop band MBLAQ.

He had acted in drama series such as My Father Is Strange, Woman With A Suitcase and Heard It Through The Grapevine.

Lee is currently enlisted in the mandatory military service and expected to be discharged in July next year.
